“My best school memories”

Tetiana Mizhinska

My best school memory is one of the greatest daysin my life. It was a year ago on my birthday. Friends, teachers, and classmates congratulated me all day.

Then we had 7 lessons. When I came for my last lesson, there were only girls there. My teacher was angry with boys who hadn't come. 10 minutes later all boys rushed to the class with balloons. They sang Happy Birthday’s song, hugged me and wished me all the best. Then we drank tea and ate birthday cake. It was the best surprise in my life. Meanwhile, my former classmates came too. It’s so nice to be remembered. That day always stays in my memory.

School is something that you can never forget. School is always full of unforgettable moments. Interesting lessons, crazy breaks and of course school trips.

What have I remembered the most? I think there were so many fascinating events during my school life which I would often recall in my memory.

I was lucky that many different trips were organized with our class. Excursions to Kiev and Lviv impressed all of us. It was the first time when I could go by underground in the capital of our country. We had many walking tours. So we were exhausted, but happy. When I came back home from that trip, I noticed that all my body was covered with small, red spots. It was chicken pox. Oh, no!

Lviv was remembered by our excursion to chocolate and caramel factories. The smell was delicious! We bought some sweets for our families.

Vinnytsia surprised us not only with National Estate Museum but also “Roschen” confectionary factory. We enjoyed watching wonderful “dancing fountains” withcolored lights as well.

It’s not easy to remember everything. But it is important, that all my memories are positive and I often share them with my friends and classmates.

What I can say, school is quite important in every person’s life. It helps to find our way in life and choose a future profession. But not only that, but we may also make friends. My mother always tells me “You make your best friends at school.” So, I’m going to tell you the story how I met my best friend.

When I was a little girl (5 years old), I attended a musical school. I used to play the violin. Now I even rarely take it out, but that’s not the point. My classroom was next to the piano classroom. I always saw a little girl who had two long plaits with big ribbons. Our lessons started at the same time, so we went out of the school together so naturally we got acquainted and found out that we lived in the same house. That’s why we used to get home together. Later we started attending the same school. Our teachershave never let us sit together because we talked a lot.

She is not only my friend, but she is also like my sister. Only last autumn she told me the reason why she had decided to be a friend of mine. That day she saw me knocking the window, with my violin bow, to my mom open the door.

Life is so unexpected you never know what happens and where you find your best friend.

My school life was joyful and pleasant. I liked to find out much interesting and new information. Our class was very united. Lessons of all our teachers were entertaining. Our headteacher was a history teacher. We loved her, and she loved and respected us. We went to the museum, theatre, and had school trips with her. I liked to study at school.        My favorite subject was English.

It was very important to have good relations with classmates because we spent quite enough time together. We were friendly and helped each other with our lessons. From time to time we enjoyed celebrating some holidays or somebody’s birthday together. We brought cakes and pies to school, made tea-party. I liked going to school because I had many friends there. So I consider that school years are the best and the most wonderful in our life.

As for me, school is like a second home. I’m in year 11, and I know that this year is one of the most important periods of my life. This year I’m finishing my native school number 11, and it makes me sad. When I think about it, I remember my teachers who were always there for me. To tell the truth, I don’t think we are a friendly or exemplary class, but we always support each other. It makes us closer and stronger. My best school memories are about our performances. For these special days, each of us prepares different poems, and everyone can participate in humor (or sad) scenes.  We always are excited before each performance, but I enjoy feelling of victory after all of them. These memories will stay with me forever.

A lot of my important memories are connected with my school. I can’t even imagine my life without it because it’s a place where I have  spent best years of my life.

I have a lot of good memories, but one is the best! When I was 10 years old, I felt bad and didn’t go to school, that’s why I missed the Girls’ day party.  Surely, I felt sad and told my friends about it. An hour later, I heard a doorbell ring. My friends came. They brought me sweets, congratulated me, and even one of them played the guitar. It was very funny and I was very grateful to them for their attention.

Memories are the part of my life and my soul. I will always remember the happy moments of my school life.

No wonder the school is our second home because it was here that we grew up, learned a lot of new and interesting things, found true friends. I will remember for a long time the happy and sad moments about school life. It seems our parent have recently brought us to th first class. Everything was new and interesting at the firt school school. Years are passing very quickly, and now we are in year 11.

I won’t forget how many jokes, there were at school during our rehearsals and holidays. I can’t stop recalling in my memory as we sang a song in the Assembly Hall, but the half of my classmates didn’t know the lyrics and just pretended to sing.

Our school trips were always full of smiles and jokes. I am very thankful to the teachers who made the lessons more interesting. Thanks to them we have a lot of pleasant moments. During these years we met new friends, we had fun,  we quarreled, we fall in love at the first time.  We got through all this mess together, we became so close! That is very hard to imagine our lifes without each other. School memories are very important for me. They will always warm my heart.

When we mature, we realize that school is the best moment of our life. School days are the best days, there are no work pressure, no worrying about earning money as well as the full time of playing and enjoying the life according to our wish. This year it was the last time I passed the school’s threshold. Unfortunately, I have the happiest memories associated with this last year . A vivid memory is when we have gathered together with my classmates and gone to have barbecue. It was a sunny, warm day. We played badminton, football, etc. We friendly tried to make a fire and watched that nothing would be burned down. Oh, it was raining, but we still kept frying meat. We were so happy, talked about everything in the world. I adore every moment connected with my school life. Leaving the 9th form, trips, and lessons, and speeches all these moments were incredible. I am really thankful to all who have been with be during these 11 years.

All people have some good memories of their school life. I’m not an exception. So what I will always remember?

Firstly, my first school day. I can remember how I was feeling in that day. It was something new for me so I was feeling nervous, a little bit scared but glad at the same time. All my relatives came to my 1st September day.

Secondly, my first headteacher – Stefa Vasylivna. I have very good and warm memories of days when she was my headteacher.

Thirdly, the day when I finished 4th form and passed exams.

Fourthly, my secondary school teachers such as Galina Viktorivna, Galyna Antonivna, Yana Ivanivna, Olha Vasylivna and many others. I can’t describe how thnkful I am to them that they are teaching me. And the last memories and experience, which I will have, are my leaving and A-level exams. But I think I should remember only good moments because bad ones are easy to forget.
